- Family is invited, including children.
- Location: 1314 Whitaker Road, Newark, DE 19702. This is on a quiet street only a few hundred yards from Interstate 95 in Delaware, easy to get to. Look for us on Google Maps or an equivalent. Big american flag on the mail box. Our neighbor (the driveway right next to ours) has motorcycle parking. Or contact me for directions.
- We think most folks will show up beginning at noon, but you can even come the day before if you like (call to tell us). See the bullet below about coming from a long ways away.
- The Juggling Hoffmans will perform at 2:30 PM. They do a well-done funny clown juggling act. They are professionals who happen to be the parents of one our kid's classmates.
- We'll probably take the pork out of the cooker at 4 PM.
- We live on two acres; about half is a pasture that contains goats, geese, and chickens. They are all pets, sort of. Some might let you pet them, and they all like to be fed treats.
- We also have a trampoline, volleyball net, horseshoes, swimming pool, and hot tub, and they will all be available for use. Bring swimwear. The kids (um, children) love to run between the pool and the hot tub.
- Some of you might be coming from a long way away. If you like to camp, we have room. We are pretty sure the goats and geese won't bother you (we have space outside the pasture, too). We have two clean motels a mile away. Or, you can find a flat area in the house to crash. We have several spare mattresses.
- We are inviting all the motorcycle groups I associate with, namely: the BMWMC, LDRider, Rounders, M-Riders, and Airhead lists; the BGBB, Rider's, and Motorcycle Tourer's forums, the Long Riders Association, Mac-Pac Eating and Wrenching Society, the local GWRRA chapters, and Mid-Atlantic Riders.
- We are also inviting all our neighbors and friends from work and church. And relatives.
- The event is a pot luck. We'll provide the pork, some soda, and plenty of ice and chests. And plates and such. You are welcome to bring anything that you like to bring to this sort of event. Things like salads, alternative entrees, appetizers, desserts, your favorite side dish, veggies, fruit, liquid refreshment.
- I'm not getting a keg, but in past years some have brought a six pack or bottle of wine as their contribution, or part of it. That's fine.
- If it's not convenient to bring something, come anyway. (If you really, really want to contribute and don't have room for anything, give me a couple bucks toward the cost of the pig, or call me and have me pick something up at the grocer, but you really don't need to bring anything)
- RSVP Rogers or Valerie George by phone or email: rogers.george@gmail.com, 302-731-5948. Tell us how many people and what you're bringing.
