Don't read this if you haven't read the post two down about the Wednesday ride. This post is a spoiler.
Apparently I don't lie often enough. (Actually, this is a good thing, I believe.) The post was constructed out of whole cloth. Only the location of the park and the weather at the time I was writing are true. No nice weather, no ride, no water over the road, no turtle, no soup. The event was set for April 1, you might note. Putting an April fool joke inside my April fool story was a nice touch, don't you think? Val (my wife) could tell it was made up. She knows that if I made a turtle soup, I'd have bragged about it and fed it to the whole family. She also said I never cook, but that's only somewhat true. I never have to cook! After all, I have a web site about cooking, farmfamilyrecipes.com. (Which isn't working right at the moment. If it gives you a strange text message, try articlesbyreg.com and you should get there) So no turtles were harmed in the production of that blog post.
Tomorrow, I'll post about a motorcycle ride to where pigs fly. No lie.

And here I was looking for someone doing an April Fool's joke, and I never suspected you! Well, do me a favor and go tape down the sprayer on your kitchen faucet and turn on the water.

Dear Rogers:
You got me. You really did. I figured for sure you caught a snapping turtle and ate it. Man is my face red.
Fondest regards,
Jack
Twisted Roads
Ya' got me too.
So, my turtle story IS better than yours after all! Mine is true, and I have posted the pictures to prove it.
The unusual and interesting things I have found since riding this motorcycle are never ending.
I'll read more carefully (and more sceptically) from now on.
