Did you see the recent article about Dale Wilson (aka Warchild) who did seven consecutive Iron Butt Association Bunburner Golds? That's 1500 miles a day, seven days in a row, on a motorcycle. Previous record was three in a row. Had 21 gallons in auxiliary tanks so he had to be off the bike of only 15 minutes per 20-hour day. He stayed out west so he could travel mainly on untrafficked roads to keep a 70 mph average speed. He pulled in on the last day with less than half an hour to spare. Said he was glad he did it, but has no inclination for a repeat performance.
That's a lot more impressive than when I did the three in a row.
