The Weekend Warrior thing again

You'd think I would stop getting sunburned by now. I spent another weekend working outside ... and now it's been a week since I wrote that sentence! It's April 4, not March 30. I am getting too busy. To write this blog, anyway. I think about it every night, and it's too late and I'm tired. Last night the girls talked me into watching Ratatouille with them. I suppose the Quality Time was a wise investment, but I didn't get any writing done. And tonight they decided to play a board game (Diamant) whose directions exist only in European languages. They wanted me to translate the German for them. I found the English directions to a similar game (Inca Gold) and between that and the German we managed to figure it out. Kind of fun. I think it would be more fun if it weren't an hour past Beka's bedtime. So. Progress report on the shed. I dug out some more perimeter early this week, made some stakes out of the cut-up scrap lumber and marked out the approximate area of the foundation pad. Moved some debris (firewood) out of the way. Maybe tomorrow afternoon I can go get the 2×6s we need to frame up the perimeter. It's been raining, so I can't do much dirt work today, probably not tomorrow, either. The moring will be taken up with a CAP community service activity—the cadets will be picking up trash along the road that leads to Iron Hill Park, which happens to be the road we live on. I'll be doing burgers at noon for the participants. One of the neighbors down the road is donating the food. Thanks, Wit! We'll have two squad cars for road safety, too. The Shangri-La Diet book. Well, I've been taking two to three T of light olive oil pretty faithfully for maybe a week, being careful to do the dosing at least an hour away from any food. I don't feel like I've done much changing in my eating habits, but I do feel like I could eat less and be satisfied. I've decided to weigh myself in a week and see if I'm down the desired five pounds. And I'll try to not engage in my habitual eating, but let my desire to eat dictate my munching. I predict I'll eat less. All that said, the book is an interesting read. Next book: Does This Clutter Make My Butt Look Fat? by Peter Walsh. It's another book that can be summarized in one sentence: Get your act together and you will become less cluttered and you'll lose weight. Looks like he goes into the philosophy of being neat. More later.
