Entering disparate worlds

Yesterday I did something for the first time in my life—I bought a url and some web hosting.
Yesterday I actually started to do something I've been reading about and studying for a couple months: I'm going to try my hand at selling things over the internet.
Consequently, yesterday I started two new blogs, on completely unrelated subjects.

So here's what I have so far, and you're invited to check them out. Just remember, this is still really early in the game. Both blogs have only one post, and I don't have a way to sell anything yet. In fact,  you won't find piles of content if you go to the sites yet. But I know you're dying of curiosity, so here's the scoop:

Site 1: articlesbyreg.com shows a Wordpress blog on the index page. Wordpress is pretty good blog software, btw. The name is Farm Family Recipes, and I have an old photo of my grandparents, plus a bit of text. In the extended George clan, my immediate family is known as the farm family because of my propensity for living in the country. I just finished a nice article about making turkey soup, and I plan to offer it from that site, free, in exchange for your email address. Eventually I plan to compile an ebook on the subject if interesting recipes, and offer it for sale to people who showed interest in the subject by downloading the turkey soup  article. (Hmm. I'll have to do an item about roasting goats on a spit.) Anyway, you can subscribe to an rss feed if you want to keep up on my rural culinary adventures. (Actually, you can get an rss feed of this blog, too. The link is on the left someplace.)

Site 2: A plain old blogspot blog, this one about invasive weeds. It's called Invasive Plants, and the url is exoticinvasives.blogspot.com. This one has only one post, too, but the idea will be the same, only on the subject of nasty weeds and how to get rid of them.

Take a look. Mention either or both on your own blog.

Ask me and I'll tell you who I'm learning this stuff from. It might save you some hassle if you're considering sharing your expertise for a fee on the web.

Dear Rogers:

Have you ever thought of doing a blog on motorcycles? Just imagine how cool it would be! You meet guys down in Delaware... You take rides... And then write about them!

I think you'd be good At it!

Fondest regards,
Jack
