Beauties in the Caribbean

Back in early December 2009, we went on a cruise, as you might know from reading a post or two on this blog. You might also have read a series of posts back in December on a site I write on behalf of Serenity Travel. Since Serenity is a travel club, most of my trip-related posts are there.

The Caribbean is reputed to be a region full of beautiful things—the weather, the people, the scenery, and so on. So it's only fair that I share pictures of some of them with you poor folks who have to endure the 20 or so inches of snow we experienced yesterday, and anyone else not in the Caribbean. First, of course, must go to a motorcycle. This is the only BMW I saw on the entire trip, though scooters and motorcycles were around, though in fewer numbers than I expected. I saw only one kid on a crotch rocket, and several scooters, including the one I rented on Antigua. More about that adventure, (and an adventure it was), on the Serenity site.




Then mushrooms, naturally. I saw several patches around; these are on the lawn at Fort George (no lie), on St. Kitts, which, being on a hill, has some spectacular scenery. Go to the Serenity site to look at some of the scenery.

I know, you're all waiting to see a beautiful young lady. You can see pictures of my wife all over the place, but she's taken. To tell the truth, gorgeous women are rather more uncommon on the islands than you might think. At least where we went. But I did run into an agreeable couple in our skin diving party on St. Maartin. And a candid that my wife must have taken, on St. Somethingorother. Remember, you can click a pic to enlarge it, if you're a voyeur.
